The Institute of Development Management (IDM) is a regional organisation, with campuses in Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland providing management development through Training, Research and Consultancy. IDM now wishes to appoint highly motivated individual to fill the following position:
HUMAN RESOURCES MANAGER
The Key Performance Areas and Responsibilities are:
• Implementation of Human Resource Strategies, policies and practices, which support the achievement of the Institute’s strategic objectives while fulfilling its obligations to employees.
• Administer all human resource and administration operations so as to ensure the achievement of the departmental goals.
• Administer staff manuals and advises staff on their interpretations.
• Administer all staff contracts and notifies staff when the same are due for expiry.
• Administer employee relations to include: Grievance and Disciplinary Procedure, Collective Agreements, Communication and Employee Counselling.
• Initiate reviews, make strategic proposals in line with business and staff needs after discussions with management team.
• Administer pay and all related staff benefits, including the pension scheme.
• Supervise the records management unit and transport services.
• Administer all estate management operations.
The position calls for an individual with the following qualifications:
• Master’s Degree in Human Resources Management or five years relevant experience.
• Five (5) years working experience in human resource management and records/transport/estate management.
• A proven record of successful supervisory experience in people-oriented environment.

• Excellent knowledge and understanding of HR concepts, methods and practices and a sound understanding of current employment legislation
