Details
Minimum Requirements:
  • Matric, with tertiary education in information technology preferable
  • 7+ years' IT Experience (System Administration / Development)
  • 5+ years' experience in WAS WebSphere Application Server technologies
  • 5+ years' experience between WAS and other integration/database technologies
  • 5+ years' experience as a WAS designer and/or application/technical architect
  • 5+ years' experience in WebSphere Application Server JMS; SIBus configurations and resource configurations
  • Strong automation and scripting skills and knowledge (WAS, Jython, UNIX shell scripting) (Preferable)
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct assessments and use information to advice, make recommendations and facilitate improvement. Consider the effect of decisions on the long term strategic objectives and the integrity of the organisation
  • Develop and implement research methodologies and techniques which enable monitoring and reporting of research and analytical activities
  • Identify and analyse process issues and develop solutions to determine the best operational course of action
  • Ensure compliance to applicable legislation and all standard operating procedures and policies applicable to business unit. Lead and manage projects, initiatives and daily operations related to assessing business and technology processes and needs for the organisation
  • Analyse the high level information requirements and information flows to improve processes and provide support through the development process
  • Utilise understanding of functional area, legislation and mandate to make recommendations to the functional strategy
  • Integrate new knowledge attained through formal and informal learning opportunities in the execution of your job
  • Comply with organisational internal control and governance standards in finance and procurement processes
