The above Grade H positions exist within Procurement Department. The position provides opportunity for a young and talented individual who wishes to develop a career in this exciting industry as a Local Procurement Specialist.
PRIMARY PURPOSE OF THE JOB.
The primary purpose of the job is to act as a point of contact towards the internal customer for procurement related questions, manages local purchasing requests in collaboration with the sourcing and category management organisation and guarantees efficient contracts implementation and acceptance on site, related to one or several sites. Execute day-to-day buying of non-strategic indirect items, including supplier identification, negotiation and supplier selection as instructed by the business. Deliver sourcing results to contribute to saving targets whilst delivering good service levels to the business
KEY RESULT AREAS & OUTPUTS
• Manage local purchase requisitions according to defined strategies and frameworks (mainly for indirect categories)
• Execute local, low value purchase requisitions
• Close/change/modify Purchase Orders (PO) related to spot buys
• Act as the single point of contact for the Procurement function at a site or country
• Coordinate local contract implementation tasks with Category Managers and users
• Support strategic sourcing initiatives
• Adhere to PPE policy and identification of unsafe practices
• Ensure good housekeeping & safety is maintained at all times.
QUALIFICATION & EXPERIENCE
• A relevant Degree in Supply Chain Management or Equivalent
• More than 2 years of Procurement practitioner experience,
• A broad background across different business functions.
• A working experience in FMCG Company will be an added advantage.
