Key Population Coordinator

SUMMARY: LETLAMA

The purpose of the job is to supervise and redefine key population activities, according to the portfolio of activities assigned to the holder of the position. This position is based at Head Office with up to 30% travel within Maseru and Leribe districts. The position reports to Senior Condom and IPC Manager.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

Supervise Key Populations (KP) activities from both Sex Workers and Men who is having sex with other men (MSM).
Identify creative lobbying and advocacy opportunities that will contribute to key population’s conducive environment.
Monitor results, including use of toolkit, quality of messaging to the related target groups and ensure they meet required standards.
Collaborate with other PSI departments and external partners in ensuring that the key populations’ issues are adequately addressed.
Conduct supervisory visits to assigned districts as and when required, with a focus on supporting implementing partner’s service delivery and ensuring continued quality improvement.
Collect and compile IP’s monthly data for reporting purposes to the supervisor
Ensure that all key population services have a system for referrals and linkages in line with program standards.

EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:

Degree in Communication or social science or any other related field.
2 -3 Work experience in HIV prevention programming or social behavior change communication.
Familiarity with key population issues and experience working with NGOs.

KEY COMPETENCIES:

Excellent interpersonal communication skills, analytical, organizational, and writing skills.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Sesotho essential.
NGO experience preferred.
Ability to produce results in difficult circumstances
Driver’s license essential.
Previous experience with Key Populations a strong added advantage
Flexibility to accept additional responsibility when required
Willingness to work overtime as required.
