Business Line Manager - Mining Automation
The purpose for the role is to drive regional sales and business development of Sandvik Mining Automation products and services in Africa. An important part of the role is to create local business plans, working closely with the customers and establishing solid and continuous mining automation sales process together with other local functions including other business lines, account- and sales management and aftermarket functions.
RESPONSIBILITIES
- Ensure EHS objectives are followed and act as a role model for regional Mining Automation business
- Regional Mining Automation sales including customer proposals and quotation creation
- Regional Mining Automation business development
- Regional Mining Automation offering commercialization to the local needs
- Regional Mining Automation sales training
- Regional Mining Automation inventory control
- Competitor follow-up, market share analyses
- Regional Mining Automation sales process, structure and role definition creation
- Active customer screening, categorization and sales strategy creation
- Sales campaign planning and execution together with other Sandvik sales area functions
- Active customer interaction and relationship management
- Sales budgeting, forecasting and reporting
- Screening of new offering opportunities
- Pricing analyses and recommendations
Competence Requirements
- Knowledge and track record in SW/ICT intensive technology space
- Highly developed communication skills
- Holistic understanding of mining applications and methods
- Customer focus, solutions/problem solving approach
- Proven skills in active internal and external networking and team work
- Motivated by high technology applications and new opportunities
- Can see a big picture but focus on details when required
- Strong stakeholder management skills
Qualification - relevant tertiary education in:
- Degree / Diploma in Engineering relevant to the mining industry - example Mining, Electronic/Electrical, Mechanical.
- Certificate in Financial Management
- Certificate in Business Administration/Development/Leadership
- Certificate in Project Management
Experience:
- Minimum 7 years operational experience at management level in mining industry
- Experience in Sales and Marketing (5 years)
- Experience in key account management
- Experience in mining applications (Specifically mechanized mining)
Location
Johannesburg, Jet Park
