Kick4Life is recruiting a skilled and motivated Finance Assistant
Kick4Life F.C. is a unique football club based in Lesotho in southern Africa. As a charity and a social enterprise, our mission is to change the lives and long-term prospects of vulnerable young people in Lesotho, through a wide range of social development activities focused on health, education and support towards sustainable livelihoods.
MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
Matches the proceeds from business against a sales report from a POS system.
Prepare bank deposits.
Daily review the bank statement to identify payments received and update the accounts receivable module.
Obtain and inform the cash availability on a daily basis.
Input transactions from cash sales, collections and payments into the accounting system.
Follow-up the outstanding invoices through calls and email, keep and update receivable aging report and charge interest on overdue invoices.
Control the cash float and petty cash balances, perform cash counting on a regular basis.
Review payments batches prior to approve to ensure that all documents are valid and authorizations have been done according to guideline.
Confirm that approved payments have been done to the authorised supplier through the electronic banking platform, stamp documents to avoid double process and obtain
confirmation on the accounts payable from suppliers.
REQUIREMENTS
Diploma in Accounting or Technician Accountant with up to one year of work experience
Ability to communicate effectively and be part of a team
Analytic skills and results oriented
Computer literate, strong command in MS Office
English proficiency
