Job Title: Senior First Aid Instructor

JOB SUMMARY: Responsible for institutionalization of First Aid, trainings and examinations for the
National Society
KEY RESPONSIBILITY AREAS
· Formulate work plan for the First Aid Program
· Coordinate and evaluate first aid trainings and activities in the National Society inclusive of Divisional and Branches
· Liaises with other sister National Societies on the best First Aids trainings
· Implement approved first aid training programmes, to the accredited standards for both commercial and community base.
· Ensure training is conducted within the guidelines
· Ensure that first aid training records are up to date and accurate as required by national standards
· Draws related proposals and implement costs of training materials, equipment and venues controlled within budget.
· Proactively ensure that there is continuous improvement of LRCS First Aid training materials, sales promotion and effective learning methodologies
· Provide timely monthly and annual reports to the Director of the Program
· Liaises with relevant departments on the procurement and sales of First aid materials
· Represent the National Society in all First Aid Events/ Meetings
· Conduct advocacy and lobby for support of First Aid from stakeholders
· To supervise subordinates under First Aid Program
QUALIFICATIONS: Essential:
· Degree in Public Health PLUS First Aid master training certificate and Valid First Aid Instructor certificate
WORK EXPERIENCE:
Essential: 3 years’ experience in a relevant environment
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES
· Strong skills on teaching methods
· Computer Literate -Microsoft word, excel and PowerPoint
· Good Facilitation Skills
· Able to meet organizational timelines
· Self-driven and perform with minimal supervision
· Knowledge on proposal writing
· Good Reporting and Evaluation Skills
