Programme Officer
Key Performance Areas: The incumbent will be reporting to the LENAFU CEO, and will be responsible for the implementation of Component 3 of SFOAP.
Key Duties: Project management, developing and establishing partnerships and linkages with relevant institutions and stakeholders, linking LENAFU members with all role players within the agricultural value chain, monitoring and evaluation, coordinating consultations with members, involved in resource mobilization, preparing internal and external reports, developing strong and effective operational relations with the private sector, especially in the areas of marketing, finance and training facilitating engagement of farmers’ organizations in the governance of agricultural value chains and in contract negotiations.
Key Requirements: At least a degree/post graduate qualification in agricultural economics, economics, business studies or any related field: at least 5 years relevant practical experience in development and private sector, working and engagement with donors, understanding agricultural policy environment and policy formulation processes, good communicator and willingness to travel, and ability to work with minimum supervision.
