TITLE: Interpersonal Communications Coordinator x 1
DEPARTMENT: Programs
SUMMARY:
The purpose of the position is to manage and supervise Demand Creation and Linkages Agents (DCLA’s) activities delivered by DCLA agents to change behaviors among specified target groups.
This position will be based in Maseru with 60% travelling requirements and will report to HTC Manager for HTC promotion. This position will supervise 16 DCLA’s.
ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Supervise and manage the performance of DLA, ensuring that high-quality, targeted activities are conducted in line with program targets.
Contribute actively in the development of new DLA approaches and activities.
Work with Communication, Training, and Research departments to design and implement in-service trainings and meetings for DLA agents.
Proactively identify and address quality issues in DLA program, drawing upon both internal technical resources and international best practices.
Schedule DLA agents in such a way that they are able to cover all PSI programs.
Conduct supervisory visits to assigned districts at least once every month, with a focus on supporting DLA agents and ensuring continued quality improvement.
Collect and compile DLA agents’ monthly data for reporting purposes.
Compile and submit monthly DLA reports to the DLA Manager.
EDUCATIONAL QUALIFICATIONS AND WORK EXPERIENCE:
Degree in Psychology, Counseling, Health Sciences or any other related field.
2-3 years project management experience.
2 years relevant experience, including interpersonal communication, facilitation, or community mobilization preferred.
KEY COMPETENCIES:
Supervisory experience preferred.
Excellent interpersonal communication skills and dynamic character essential.
Fluency in spoken and written English and Sesotho essential.
NGO experience preferred.
Knowledge of and experience using Microsoft Office essential.
Driver’s license essential.
Knowledge of HIV/AIDS as a public health issue essential.
Knowledge of the Lesotho health and social services sector preferred.
Ability and willingness to work outside normal working hours, as required by scheduling.
