HEAD OF INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY OPERATIONS 
Liqhobong Mining Development Company (Pty) Ltd, a subsidiary of Firestone Diamonds PLC, invites suitably qualified competent, self-driven and results oriented Basotho to apply for the position of Head of Information Technology Operations. 
Job purpose 
To manage all IT infrastructure and business applications within the Mine and guarantee maximum uptime and optimal performance of the same by being responsible for developing, implementing and maintaining IT management framework on data, applications, technology and processes.
Responsibilities 
Under the direct supervision of the Finance Manager, the incumbent will carry out the following duties and responsibilities; 
• Determine and document standards and administration procedures on datacentre infrastructure, data networks and facilities; 
• Implement and document processes for IT services, business continuity plan and test plans 
• Review and implement data backup and restore procedures, change and configuration management processes 
• Maintain a risk profile for the IT department 
• Develop and implement an information security management system at LMDC guided by comprehensive information security policy of the mine 
• Ensure that there are thorough, independent and regular security audits 
• Ensure confidentiality, integrity and timeliness of data across the Mine through cryptography, encryption and hardening 
• Conduct security awareness sessions for staff and stipulate guidelines on reporting of information security incidents 
• Liaise with the Mine’s security to ensure physical security of ICT assets 
• Configure and deploy network perimeter devices to control external access to the Mine’s data network and prevent intrusion 
• Carry-out and document business impact analysis based on potential infrastructure components failure analysis 
• Regularly review and test the business continuity and disaster recovery plans for assurance purposes 
• Check and authorise monthly backup and restore register logs 
• Produce relevant and accurate reports on status of IT infrastructure and highlight potential risks 
• Continuously look for opportunities for development and growth 
• Contribute towards SHE objectives and compliance 
Legal and other requirements 
• Police clearance and medical examinations of fitness 
• Valid driver’s license Qualifications and Experience 
• Minimum of 5 years’ experience in a network or business applications support role plus 2 years’ experience in an IT project management role 
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, information systems or equivalent • Knowledge of computer networks, security and IT project management 
• Professional training and / certification in ITL, CISCO certified network associate.
