FOR LEC COMMUNICATIONS (PTY) LTD
Applications are invited from suitably qualified candidates, preferably Lesotho nationals for the above-mentioned position.
The position is at the Head Office in Maseru and the incumbent will serve as an Accountant for the newly established LEC Communications (Pty) Ltd (LECC), a subsidiary company of LEC and will be responsible to the Managing Director. The position will be for a two (2) year contract.
QUALIFICATIONS
• Accounting Degree or General Accountant.
EXPERIENCE & OTHER REQUIREMENTS
Experience:
•Preferably 3 year’s relevant experience with a good track record.
•Good understanding of International Accounting Standards.
•Good experience with computer based accounting packages preferably ACCPAC and MS Office packages and including spreadsheets.
Personal attributes:
•Excellent analytical and report writing skills.
•Excellent leadership and leadership skills
•Performance driven.
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS
The incumbent will be responsible for performing the following:
•Responsible for all accounting operations, management and control of LECC accounts.
•Responsible for the book-keeping function including maintenance of the general ledger, accounts payable, and accounts receivable.
•Ensures that financial practices are in line with statutory legislation and regulations.
•Prepares accurate monthly and annual financial reports in compliance with international reporting standards.
•Prepares all supporting information for audit purposes, work closely and transparently with external partners including Auditors and Consultants.
•Documents and maintains complete and accurate supporting information for all financial transactions.
•Manage cash flow and reconcile bank statements and constantly report on financial status on monthly basis.
•Establishes guidelines for budget and forecast preparation, and prepares the annual budget in consultation with Management.
•Monitors and minimizes business financial risk.
•Responsible for administrative functions as well as facilities to ensure efficient and consistent operations of the office.
•Manages procurement of services and participate in the evaluation and adjudication processes.
