Electrical Engineer at Storm Mountain Diamonds – Kao mine

ELECTRICAL ENGINEER
Applications are invited from suitably qualified Lesotho citizens to fill the vacancy of Electrical Engineer at Storm Mountain Diamonds – Kao mine, situated in the rural areas of Botha-Bothe in Lesotho. 
Qualifications and Minimum Job requirements:
Degree in Electrical Engineering
Computer Literacy (Microsoft office packages).
Any High voltage operation qualification will be an added advantage
Good communication skills in English Language
Suitable candidate must have the following work experience:
Handling medium and high voltage
Mechanical knowledge in heavy industrial equipment
Experience in mining / heavy industrial process plant.
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not be limited to:
Maintaining a safe working environment for all employees.
Performing medium to high level fault finding.
Performing root cause analysis on faults.
Ensuring that rectification takes place in the least possible time with no further damage to equipment.
Carrying out regular inspections to assess the effectiveness of maintenance and to detect problem areas timeously.
Optimising resource utilisation and efficiency.
Liaising with other departments to ensure optimum use of resources throughout the site.
Monitoring of the budget and report timeously on any budget deviations.
Striving for continuous improvement in the direction and practice of maintenance principles.
