Technical Support Officer (TSO) for Ex- Miners Association in Lesotho

Background
URSA is looking for a Technical Support Officer to provide technical support for ex-miners Association in Lesotho. This position will support the extension of TB and HIV services to Miners, Ex miners and their Families and will provide overall technical support in the implementation of the Ex Miners Association work Plan. Details of the specific objectives and content of the work is outlined below.
Objective of Technical Support Officer, for Lesotho Ex-Miners association.
The TSO will provide overall technical guidance, coordination and capacity building to Ex- miners Associations of the Mountain Kingdom of Lesotho to ensure increased access and uptake of quality TB services to the target population.

Timeframe
It is envisioned that this exercise will take a total of 2 months to complete.

Key requirements
The technical officer that will be contracted to provide support to ex-miners association should have the following:
Diploma in general Nursing and Midwifery
Attended TB training especially with a focus on DOT.
Must have a general understanding of issues of TB amongst mineworkers
Previous experience working with vulnerable populations and/or migrant populations will be an added advantage
Strong social and organizational skills and ability to work independently
Must be innovative and have ability to work in line with the national TB and HIV programs
