Specialist: IT Network

Role Purpose:
Vodacom Lesotho is seeking Specialist IT Networks, the role encompasses a wide
range of responsibilities including network design strategy, network engineering,
implementation, and migration planning and optimization services. The incumbent
will also be responsible implementation of VPNs for external support teams and
maintaining secure access of the IT network.
Main Duties
• Manage network cabling (fibre and Ethernet) in all offices and Data Centres
• Maintenance and administration of Cisco Firewalls
• Maintain and ensure updated Cisco IPS and to ensure secure network
• Ensure that all configuration changes are documented
• Troubleshoot connectivity issues and ensure no outages
• Capacity planning for all links and maintain high network performance
• Manage Wi-Fi and ensure that it is always available and secure
A successful candidate will be a team player, customer centric, flexible yet decisive
and able to work under pressure and poses the following qualities:
• Initiative and enthusiastic
• Self-driven
• Analytical
• Report writing and presentation skills
• Integrity and ethical
Qualifications:
Degree or equivalent in Computer Science or relevant tertiary qualification.
Certification causes below will be an added advantage:
• CCNA
• Firewall
• Cisco IPS
• Cisco VPN
Experience
• Minimum of 2/3 years in Network Administration
