The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF AGRICULTURE:
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- PhD in Irrigation Agronomy/Irrigation Related Area with not less than five years experience in teaching
- proven record in research and publishing in Irrigation related areas
- Teaching experience in Irrigation Agronomy, Irrigation, Plant and water relationship, Hydrology and climate change
- Demonstrated skill in developing and executing research proposals
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
Duties:
- Offering courses in the area of specialty and other crop Science courses at B. Sc. and M. Sc. levels
- Ability to teach farm mechanization and/or farm structure is an added advantage
- Expected to offer Field Practical Training
- Supervise student's projects at B. Sc and M. Sc levels
- Initiate, conduct and supervise original research in his/her area of specialization
- Contribute to departmental and faculty governance
