Information Systems Technician

An opportunity exists to join Metropolitan Lesotho, an Investor in People Company as an IS Technician. The incumbent will be responsible for all the information and technological services under the supervision of the National Client Service Manager. Metropolitan Lesotho is a wholly owned subsidiary of
MMI holdings, a company registered on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.

The Key Performance Areas include the following:
Work actively with IT staff and other departments to develop
and promote the IT infrastructure.
Perform Administrative duties within the IT environment.
Maintenance and management of IT Equipment.
Ensure compliance with legislation, Company Policies and Procedures.
Analyzes methods and processes to recommend improved and
or latest IT solutions.
Perform other related duties as required.
Ensure Customer satisfaction.
The following are pre-requisites for the position:
Bachelors Degree in Information Technology/Computer Science;
3 years working experience in IT related field;
Computer Literate at advanced level with: Microsoft Office suite
– Word, Excel and MS Project and various business systems
(SQL Server) internet and email (Outlook);

Competencies, skills and abilities required:
Ability to communicate with and interpret the operational requirements
of the end users;
Ability to operate in a mixed Business and IT environment;
Knowledge of current technological developments / trends in
area of expertise;
Ability to learn and support new systems and applications;
Good interpersonal skills.

Head of Retail

An opportunity exists to join this Investor in People Company in the above capacity. The incumbent will join senior management of the company and report to the Managing Director. Metropolitan Lesotho is a wholly owned subsidiary of MMI holdings, a company registered on the Johannesburg Stock Exchange.
The Key Performance Areas for this position:
Develop the sales and marketing strategies to support the strategic direction of the company;
Coordinates the product development initiatives and develop
new product guidelines;
Produce retail production budget and ensure that production targets are met;
Responsible for building quality relationships with brokers,
agencies and clients;
Ensure effective utilization and maximum development of staff
in line with performance management principles;
Adhere to the Regulatory and Statutory reporting requirements

Minimum qualifications and experience:
Post Graduate Degree in Business Administration/B Comm. Marketing or related field;
Ten years experience in Senior Management level;
Experience in managing Sales Teams would be an added advantage

Strong problem identification and solving skills;
Business acumen, initiative, entrepreneurial ability and independence.
