LOTI BRICK
1. Preamble
Loti Brick (PTY) LTD a Manufacturer of clay brick
products is looking for a qualified, experienced and
hands on Finance Manager. The main function of
this position would be to plan, manage, coordinate
and direct all the financial and accounting activities
and practices of Loti Brick to ensure keeping of
proper books of accounts, provision of annual
financial statements which accord with the Generally
Accepted Accounting Practice (GAAP), provision of
relevant and reliable periodic management accounts,
and effective financial management and planning.
2. Key Performance Areas
(i) To oversee the preparation of timely, relevant
and reliable monthly management accounts.
(ii) To Plan, coordinate and manage Loti Brick
Budgetary process.
(iii) To Project cash flow requirements and ensure
that there is adequate cash to meet planned
company payments.
(iv) To develop a costing model to ensure proper
costing of all products to, in turn, inform proper
product pricing which enables realization of
profit from each product line.
(v) To ensure that all the financial reporting meet
the regulatory and legal requirement including
taxation, dividends and annual accounts.
(vi) To ensure timely preparation of annual financial
statements for audit and facilitation of external
audit of the same.
(vii) To review the company’s existing systems,
policies and procedures and assess their
effectiveness, adequacy and appropriateness.
(viii) To develop, recommend and implement well
documented and up-to-date financial systems,
policies, processes and procedures to ensure
effective internal controls.
(ix) To Advice management on investment
decisions to ensure that only viable investments
are carried out.
(x) To perform secretarial services to the Board of
Directors.
(xi) To coordinate the activities of the Finance and
administration department.
3. Competency requirements for the position
• Must be a Chartered Accountant (CA). with
three years relevant experience; or
• B.Comm plus General Accountant with four
years relevant experience; or
• Relevant Masters Degree with five years relevant
experience. The Masters Degree holder should
have covered Financial Accounting, Financial
Management, Management Accounting and
Taxation as core courses.
• Competence in SAGE X3 is highly essential.
