Patrick and Janet Stuart Postgraduate Scholarship for Students from Lesotho, 2015
Canon Collins Trust is inviting applications for Patrick and Janet Stuart postgraduate scholarship available for students from Lesotho. In 2016 most awards will be valued at R65,000 for each year of study at Masters and PhD level. In exceptional cases we may offer up to R100,000 per year. Both full and part-time study and applications from those who wish to study by distance learning will be considered. The application deadline is 27 July 2015.
Study Subject(s): Scholarship is awarded in one of the following disciplines and demonstrate a commitment to social justice: Law, Economics, Politics and the Environment; Education policy and practice and Humanities which includes Literature, History, Anthropology and the Arts.
Course Level: Scholarship is available for pursuing postgraduate study at a South African university.
Eligibility: Applicants must be:
– nationals of Lesotho
– normally resident in Lesotho
– in possession of a good first degree, with a minimum grade of a 2:1, or upper second;
– seeking this scholarship for postgraduate study at Masters or doctoral level;
– registered to study or wish to study at a South African university;
-studying one of the subjects listed above.

Number of award(s): One scholarship will be awarded.
Duration of award(s): The funding is for up to a maximum of two years for Masters and three years for PhD. Continued funding depends upon satisfactory progress and academic reports.
