Fire Suppression Supervisor

The role

Responsible for the efficient running of the Fire Suppression business within the allocated region by providing excellence in service during the course of installation and servicing of fire suppression systems, as well as follow up technical/product support and daily supervision of fire suppression technicians in allocated region.

• Build and maintain strong customer relationships
• Actively promote the company and the service department by conducting business in an ethical manner
• Attend training as required
• Monitor projects / jobs to ensure compliance with costing and time schedules including bill of materials, delivery schedules, equipment and sequences of operation
• Maintain a firm commitment to the quality objectives of the company and adhere to the current South African standards
• Install/commission and Service Fire Suppression Systems in the workshop and in the field as required
• Assist in training and accreditation in installation/servicing of fire suppression systems

Your profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• SAQCC fire certification would be an advantage
• Sound knowledge of fire fighting equipment
• Experience with working on and around heavy mining equipment
• 5 years’ experience in installation and service of Fire Suppression systems
• Exposure to field service work and a desire to learn new skills
• Extremely flexible to work with customer requirements, procedures and safety policies
• Computer literacy
• Supervision skills
• The role may require extensive traveling (Locally & Internationally)
• Valid Driver’s License and Passport
