MOBILE REGISTRATION UNIT (MRU) OPERATOR
The Independent Electoral Commission invites applications from suitably qualified Basotho candidates for temporary positions of Mobile Registration Unit (MRU) Operators for the coming Local Government Elections

Job Description:
Using the Mobile Registration Unit, the Mobile registration Unit Operator will:

(1) Register eligible electors by:-
• Assisting in filling of registration forms
• Taking photographs of eligible electors
• Taking fingerprints

(2) Verify Data by:
• Ensuring that registration forms are equal to the number of people registered in the Mobile Registration Unit

(3) Transmit data from the MRS to the main server
(4) Update electors’ register by:-
▪Transferring electors
▪Amending electors’ details

(5) Display electors’ register and village lists

(6) Perform any other duties assigned by the Director of Elections that are related to electoral activities.

Job Specification:

Minimum qualification - Certificate in Computers
1. Must be registered as an elector
2. Must be willing to take appointment in any constituency or district
3. Applicants must be between the ages of 18 and 35
