Purpose of the position:
Manage and facilitate the participation of all stakeholders in the AP and lead the participation of stakeholders, communities, and children in the execution of the AP Plan, while building within them the culture of learning and responsibility for project's sustainability. It will further identify community, children and stakeholders key capabilities and successfully engage in nurturing them to own their development.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Program Management and Reporting
Manage DPA community engagement process in all communities to identify appropriate projects for implementation with partners, and to adapt them for the context.
2. Manage all programming within the AP, across multiple technical projects, giving a holistic view of the AP .
3. Provides an oversight for sponsorship integration as part of AP planning processes, supporting the implementation of sponsorship in programming and sponsorship service operations as per the sponsorship management standards.
4. Produce consolidated annual/semi-annual/monthly Report for the AP.
5.Implement internal controls (standards, policies and procedures), to ensure compliance with pre-determined World Vision requirements, controls and procedures.
6. Ensure proper keeping of AP/project assets inclusive of up to date assets register through effective supervision of AP Administration Officer.
7. Implement audit recommendations, ensuring compliance with World Vision standards.
Monitoring and Evaluation
8. Ensure monitoring across the whole AP to identify progress made and make necessary adjustments to plans;
9. Facilitate annual review and planning meetings in all communities, and at the AP level.
Program and Grants Development and Grants Management
10. Facilitate the participation of all stakeholders in identifying potentials and applying those to achieve the set goals and continue to build networks for extensive support and skills acquisition for communities and youth.
11. In collaboration with the community and local leadership forge relations with other specialized institutions to determine the support and tap special skills for implementation of initiatives and activities.
12. Create a platform of learning and exchange of ideas and resources among communities, external bodies and institutions with special focus to youth and children.
13. Organize and facilitate specific and relevant trainings for community, local leadership, youth and children on specific skills geared towards increase in productivity and adoption of encouraged models and proper practices in collaboration with sector coordinators.
14. Collaborate with Grants project and/or respective TP coordinators to ensure that Grant Projects are integrated and implemented to complement the AP work within timeline and budget.
15. Participate in planning, design of long and short term strategies and learning reviews.
Networking, Liaison and Advocacy
16. Lead in strategic networking and advocacy within the AP with other NGO’s, government agencies, church leaders and community leaders, ensuring participation of all stakeholders in program implementation, monitoring and evaluation.
17. Work closely with the Technical Coordinators in the design of appropriate strategies for target population.
People Management
18. Manage all staff based in the AP including and ensure they deliver according to the set standards and indicators.
19. Facilitate, in consultation/collaboration with P&C, Business Administrator and Cluster Program Manager, for recruitment, hiring/engagement and training of new staff, volunteers/interns.
20. Manage and coordinate the community structures to support the project implementation.
GIK
21. Responsible for planning (together with focal point persons), and overseeing, the integration and reporting of GIK within the ADP, while ensuring compliance with WVI GIK Standards
Other Competencies/Attributes:
- Must be a committed Christian, able to stand above denominational diversities.
- Attend in daily devotions and weekly Chapel services.
- Perform other duties as required.
Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
Must have a university degree in development studies, Community Development, Social Science or related field. Must have at least 3 years’ experience in Rural/Community development work.
- Must have good analytical and problem solving skills.
- Excellent command of the English language, both written and spoken.
- Knowledge of financial management.
- Must be computer literate in Microsoft Word, Excel and other software packages.
- Must be able to communicate in a cross-cultural environment.
Working Environment / Conditions:
- Work environment: Community Based
- Travel: 10% Domestic/international travel is required.
- On call: 20%
