The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:
FACULTY OF SOCIAL SCIENCES:
Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:
- Applicants must hold a minimum of a Masters degree in Anthropology and have at least three (3) years teaching experience.
- A Ph.D qualification in Anthropology is preferred.
- Teaching experience at tertiary level will be preferred.
Candidates for Senior Lecturer position must have at least six (6) years teaching experience at tertiary level, and have proven record of research and refereed publications in Anthropology and already be in this position at the equivalent institution of higher learning at the time of application.
Duties:
- The successful candidate will be expected to:
- Conduct teaching at undergraduate and post-graduate levels in the field of Anthropology;
- Review the current Anthropology programme;
- Undertake research and supervise students;
- Participate in supervision of students’ field work, research and seminar programmes in the department;
- Participate actively in community service;
- Mentor junior members of the staff;
- Perform any other duties including administration, as would be required from time to time by the Head of the department of Sociology, Anthropology and Social Work.
