SOS Children’s Villages is a social development organization, focusing on the care, protection and development of children and youth who are orphaned or vulnerable. Our mission is to build families for children in need, help them to shape their own futures and share in the development of their communities. The mission is accomplished through three programs. Family Strengthening Program, Family Based Care program and Education Program.
SOS Children’s Village Lesotho is looking for The
FAMILY STRENGTHINING PROGRAMME ASSISTANT who will be based at SOS Children’s Village Maseru.
THE FSPA WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Assisting with initial assessment of potential beneficiaries as required by the programme coordinator
Provide support to community-based partners with implementation of the family development planning process as delegated by the programme coordinator.
Ensuring office equipment maintenance
Ensuring sufficient stock of office supplies
Management of correspondence (sort and distribute mail accordingly)
Maintaining programme records as directed by FSP Coordinator
Processing petty cash payment and keep records as required by the Association. Submit the monthly petty cash register as well as submitting receipt and vouchers to the Village Finance Administrator.
Preparing cheque requisitions as required by the FSP Coordinator and submit to the Village Director
Updating the fixed assets register of the programme
Professionally and warmly receive all guests to the programme and ensuring that guests receive appropriate assistance
SOS Children’s Village Lesotho is looking for
The Village Director who will be based at SOS Children’s Village Maseru.
THE Village Director WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Participate in the development of the programme design, and implementation.
Supports the process of identifying local funding opportunities (from government and private sources) and grant applications, or other forms of local income within the district of Maseru.
Ensures Programme planning processes include the participation of all relevant stakeholders
Structures development planning process with co-workers, children and their families, to effectively address the development needs of children.
Leads the implementation of the organizational policies ,strategies ,financial and administrative processes to promote an efficient, responsible and appropriate allocation and use of programme resources.
Establishes and promotes the on-going monitoring and evaluation of all programme interventions to inform organizational learning and improve programme practice.
Leads, guides and supports the development of programme co-workers, according to organizational policies and guidelines.
Promotes strong cooperation between all programme co-workers, in the realization of the programme strategy and plan.
Ensures professional human resource management and development within the programme (recruitment, orientation, performance management, etc.)
Promotes strong and long-term partnerships with local authorities, partner organizations’ and the community
Builds and/or maintains strong relationships with local authorities, partner organizations’ and other key stakeholders in the local community.
SOS Children’s Villages Lesotho is looking for
The National Human Resource Coordinator, to be based at our National Office in Maseru.
THE HR COORDINATOR WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR:
Oversee administration of the full HR cycle for the association
Ensure that short and long term human resource planning takes place to support staff and management in decision-making and management of function.
Structure updates as well as mmaintenance of organization staff by strengthening a recruiting and selection procedure
Supervision of payroll and authorization of compensation and benefits
Responsible for overall budget and expenditure for the function
Management of employee benefits.
Ensure that Labour Relations issues and Performance Management are professionally handled and relevant to maintain good employee relations and high levels of performance and behaviour
Planning and Delivery of the HR strategy
Represent the organization as and when Labour matters rise
Management of employee wellness strategies
Responsible for organizational development including capacity building initiatives and coordination of planned activities.
