Multiple Positions Available for New Pediatric HIV initiative
The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI – formerly the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative) has been working in Lesotho since 2004 to strengthen the health system. The Government of Lesotho is intensifying efforts to rapidly identify and enroll HIV positive children for care before they pass away. CHAI is coordinating a multi-year consortium project that will work with specialized partners to pilot, evaluate, and scale effective community approaches for identification of children with HIV.
CHAI is seeking talented, highly motivated, creative, and flexible individuals to contribute support and practical implementation assistance to CHAI’s Pediatric HIV program as it seeks to reach ambitious targets. The candidates must have excellent communications skills and cultural sensitivity. They must be able to manage multiple tasks and drive work plans forward. They must exhibit a passion for results and commitment to excellence, must be proficient in Microsoft Office applications, and fluent in English. Program Manager, Pediatric HIV
The Program Manager will lead CHAI’s component of the overall pediatric HIV program, ensuring high standards and effective coordination. The Program Manager is responsible for leading a team of 8 within the organization, and coordinating activities across multiple partners. The Program Manager will also lead evaluation activities and project financial management. The position will be based in Maseru, with limited travel. The Program Manager will report to the Country Director.
Qualifications:
5+ years of work experience that includes team leadership and responsibility for project planning and implementation
Knowledge and/or experience of the health sector in Lesotho in general would be a distinct advantage
Experience with planning and conducting monitoring and evaluation or research
Associate, Pediatric HIV Evaluation
The Associate will lead the analytical component of CHAI’s pediatric HIV program, ensuring high standards of evidence and analysis. The Associate will closely support monitoring and evaluation components of the project. The Associate will report to the Program Manager.
Qualifications:
University degree, preferably with a quantitative and/or research focus
2+ years of professional experience, with a focus on quantitative analysis
Experience with designing and conducting evaluations strongly preferred
Knowledge of Sesotho is an advantage, but not required
District Coordinators (4 positions)
The District Coordinators, Pediatric HIV, will support District Health Management Teams (DHMTs) to implement initiatives to identify children with HIV and initiate them on treatment. The District Coordinators will report to the Program Manager. This position may require frequent travel and/or part-time residence in project districts.
Qualifications:
University degree
Sesotho language skills
Demonstrated leadership and social-service commitment
Strong problem solving skills and analytical capabilities
