Qualifications and Experience Required:
• PhD in Accounting, Business Management of Education Management
• 10 years’ experience in an Educational
Institution
• Experience on operations management will be an added advantage

Job Responsibilities:
• Country Leadership: Establish, grow and
report on Botho University’s operations in
Lesotho in line with the University’s vision,
mission and strategic objectives.
• Governance: Actively participate in
appropriate governance structures
providing the necessary oversight of
institutional operations in line with the
quality policy.
• Stakeholder Relationship
Management: Build and maintain positive
working relationships with all key
stakeholders in Lesotho.
• Operational Management: Oversee
day-to-day operations across both
academic and non-academic functions.

manage the budgets for the Campus.

in the most efficient manner. Control costs of

Education Manager
Vacancy: 01
Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Ph.D. or Master’s Degree in Computing or
Administration or Accounting
• Must have more than 3 years experience in a
leadership position in a reputable College
or University
• Preference will be given to staff with
teaching as well as administrative
experience
Job Responsibilities:
• Ensuring the smooth running of the daily
education operations in Campus
• Managing batch schedules and ensuring
that classes run according to them
• Monitoring progress of faculty with regards
to their performance and providing training
where required for higher level subjects
• Conducting class room audits and student
feedbacks and giving the feedback to the
faculty to ensure that they are on the right
track in education delivery and that they
improve where required
• Conducting meetings with assistant
managers and team leaders on a regular
basis to discuss performance and
quality issues and implement improvements
appropriately
• Assisting in the recruitment process of new
faculty
• Co-ordinating with the MIS, Assessment
and other departments to ensure that the
operations in those departments are running
smoothly and giving guidance for
improvement where necessary

Lecturers/Senior Lecturers -

Qualifications and Experience Required:
• Phd/Master’s Degree in the relevant field

• A minimum of five (5) years proven track record in teaching and/ or research in
relevant areas for Senior lecturers and
a minimum of Two years for the post of
lecturers
Job Responsibilities:

• Contributing to the overall quality of the educational process in general in the faculty

Professor position:
• Doctorate in relevant discipline of instruction in the field of relevant Faculty
• Minimum of eight years of relevant post-doctoral experience
Associate Professor:
• Doctorate in relevant discipline of instruction in the relevant Faculty
• Minimum of six years of relevant post-doctoral experience
Assistant Professor:
• Doctorate in relevant discipline of instruction in the relevant Faculty
• Minimum of four years relevant post-doctoral experience
• Other requirements for all the above
positions
• Substantial research experience evidenced through significant publications in reputed high-impact journals and in sourcing funding for research activities
• Proven ability to build strong connections with industry and community through consulting or community engagement, membership in high-level industry and community bodies and/or involving industry and community in research endeavors
• Proven teaching ability evidenced through post graduate qualifications in
(Higher) Education and/or letters of support specifically referring to teaching skills

at all times by managing adherence to

• Management of the library circulation and reference services by supervising
and supporting library circulation desk procedures
• Management of customer and extension services by liaising with faculties to

Job Responsibilities:
• Recruiting potential students for the institution
• Counseling applicants upon enquiry and assisting them to choose the right course
• Capturing data in Encore and SDM
• Participate in marketing activities for the institution like attending or coordinating career fairs

Qualifications and Experience Required:
