Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Gaming Technical Shift Manager, the job incumbent shall be responsible for ensuring that technical installation, maintenance and repairs are conducted to the highest standards of workmanship and security in accordance with the Company polices and procedures
Education, experience and competencies required:
COSC and Diploma in Electrical /Electronics
Minimum of three (3) years’ experience in electronics on board repairs
Experience in network equipment (A+, N+, CMS shall be an added advantage)
Computer literate – Microsoft Office package
High level of mental alertness
Good arithmetic, technical and analytical skills
Must be willing to work in smoking environment
High energy levels
High level of initiative and drive
Must be prepared to work irregular hours as per business requirements
Ability to work without supervision
Customer focused
Physical ability to perform functions required
Key Responsibility Areas:
General
Ensure that effective, consistent and efficient procedures, rules and polices are implemented and maintained, in accordance with the Slots procedure manual
Ensure the integrity of all machine statistics and calculations, machine detailed reports and asset register
Assist with the verification of Slots jackpots as required in accordance with the Slots procedures
Guest relations and Customer service
Maintain good relationship with the local community
Maintain good working relationship with all Company appointed stakeholders
Responsible for encouraging a high level of personal service, and be highly visible to staff and guests alike
Ensure complete knowledge of the MVG programme and offer information to guests
Budgeting and financial controls
Constantly strive for cost savings and productivity improvements, without a reduction in standards
Security
Ensure that all Company policies and operating procedures are complied with
Ensure that staff, guests and Company assets are sufficiently protected against theft, harm, violence and other criminal activities, and report any undesirable or potentially dangerous situation to Slots and Security Management
Ensure complete security of the Slots area and take action if a potentially dangerous situation arises
Administration
Ensure accurate and systematic record keeping
Ensure proper usage and maintenance of stock levels, relevant supplies and operating equipment
Assume the duties, responsibility and authority of the Senior Technicians in their official absence
