ABOUT THE ORGANIZATION: 
LFS Financial Systems GmbH (LFS) is an advisory and management firm based in Berlin, Germany specialized in MSME finance. Its major clients include the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), the International Finance Corporation (IFC), and the Kreditanstalt fur Wiederaufbau (KfW), among others. LFS has built a network of specialized small business banks (AccessBanks) for which it acts as the management company and holds significant ownership.
ABOUT THE JOB: 
LFS is seeking a Credit Manager. S/he will be responsible for managing the credit business of the organization's growing network of Access Bank.
Tasks and Responsibilities:
  • Overview and develop the bank’s micro and SME credit business;
  • Define, implement, and monitor micro and SME credit targets in business plans and budgets developing, reviewing, and applying credit procedures, products, credit analysis, delinquency management, policies, and incentive systems which balance group-wide standards and local requirements;
  • Take strategic decisions and ensure loan portfolio growth and quality;
  • Supervise and support branch managers, group leaders, and loan officers to achieve set loan targets;
  • Organize credit committee meetings and monitor implementation of committees’ decisions;
  • Represent the bank to the broad public and remaining good relationships with external bodies.
Qualifications:
  • Master’s degree in Economics, Business, or Finance-related subject;
  • At least 5 years of working experience in credit products in MFI or microfinance bank with exposure to SME, corporate, or retail banking including experience in a managerial role and overall bank management;
  • Sound experience in developing, designing, and implementing microcredit products, including the drafting of operating procedures, policies, workflows, and incentive schemes;
  • Good knowledge of commercial microfinance approaches and best-practice microlending technologies in developing or transition countries;
  • Sound analytical skills and experience in quantitative/statistical data analysis;
  • Excellent managerial and open communication skills;
  • Genuine interest in a long-term career in the field of development finance, and work and experience in developing or transition countries or the MENA region;
  • Proficiency in English (oral and written) and preferably also French (oral and written) or Arabic.
