Main Purpose of the Job:
Reporting to the Human Resources Manager the incumbent will be responsible to ensure that the region has the right skills and
competencies to meet business objectives through appropriate learning and development solutions.
Education, experience and competencies required:
• Human Resources Development Degree / Training Management Degree
• A post graduate training and development qualification will be an advantage
• Minimum of 3 to 5 years’ experience in an HR Generalist positions is an advantage
• Proven experience in the implementation of change management programmes
• 2 – 3 years’ experience in workplace skills planning or training and development interventions
• Experience in a Hospitality/Tourism environment is an advantage
• Computer literate – Excel, Word and Power Point
• Facilitation, coaching, presentation skills required
• Ability to conduct research and development
• Excellent communications and interpersonal skills
• Good Leadership skills
This position involves the following duties and responsibilities:
Effective Training and Development Administration
Physically conduct training in relation to different learning interventions requirements
Conduct needs analysis in conjunction with line management/source and present specific training programmes
Conduct Performance Consulting to ensure that Learning and Development initiatives meet business objectives
Addresses critical skills shortages and unit performance gaps
Conduct Induction training for all employees
Coaching and mentorship of staff as required
Maintain records of training and development undertaken
Attend to Training Steering Committee activities
Submit detailed monthly reports to the HR Manager and Group Learning and Development Manager
Ensure training certificates are processed and presented to staff
Prepare and manage the Training and development budget effectively
Submit monthly review and feedback to the HR Manager
Relationship Management Provider
Ensuring that Procurement policies in terms of learning and development are adhered to
Contract deliverables are monitored to ensure delivery
Selection of providers meet company objectives e.g. competence, experience, accreditation etc.
