Opportunity for qualified Basotho Metallurgist/Process Engineering graduates at the Letšeng Diamond Mine Treatment department
METALLURGY INTERNS
PURPOSE: Reporting to the Metallurgical Laboratory supervisors, will be directly responsible for the monitoring of process practices and standards
for quality assurance including quality control, whilst gaining experience in the Metallurgy field. The candidates will work in the metallurgical
laboratory and production plants where they will be involved in the monitoring, analysis and data collection including plant sampling which will
contribute to plant optimization.
MAIN OUTPUTS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensuring compliance with all HSE programme requirements,
• Help measure plant efficiencies to the standards established
• Ensure metallurgical quality control standards are met and maintained in
the processing plants through measuring and monitoring
• Analysis of metallurgical data for making production improvement and
recommendations
• Collecting of plant samples
• Data capturing and recording
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
• Graduate Qualification in any of the following areas: Chemical
Engineering, Process Engineering or Metallurgy
• Plant experience will be an added advantage
REQUIRED COMPETENCIES

• Good listener
• Good communication skills
LEGAL REQUIREMENTS
• Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of
fitness as per requirements.
• Candidates will be required to undergo Letseng Mine preemployment
integrity testing
