Job Title Project Nurse HIV/TB & MNCH for Health First Project
Project Specific Objectives
To enable the District Health Management Teams to supervise and support the health centre teams and coordinate efficiently with stakeholders; To enable the health centre teams to provide strengthened integrated health services at facility and community level thus contributing to universal health coverage focusing on HIV and TB prevention, diagnosis and treatment, vaccine preventable diseases in children and antenatal care and also NCDs (non-communicable diseases). To participate in operational research, pilot innovative and locally adapted solutions and capitalize the lessons learnt.

Place of Assignment Butha Buthe District (The position includes frequent travels to remote health facilities and
Maseru)
Summary Key Tasks • Provide clinical mentoring, support and coaching for nurses at the supported sites
• Conduct systematic and analytical review of priority indicators under guidance of
Project Manager
• Support sites in the implementation of current HIV,TB, MNCH and NCD guidelines and policies
• Participate actively in the planning and implementation of operational research carried out within the project framework
Required Qualifications and Experience
• A diploma / degree in Nursing and Midwifery. Registration with the Nursing council as a nurse midwife is compulsory
• Minimum of 2 years’ experience in MCH, TB/HIV mentoring.
• Previous experience with an NGO is an added advantage.
• Previous research experience is desirable.
• Having worked in the health centres is necessary
• Experience and interest in capacity building
• Strong interest in operational research & scientific exchange
• Very good computer skills (Word, Excel, Power-point)
We are looking for a hard-working, pro-active and very hands-on person, who enjoys working clinically, mentoring and coaching health care workers, socially competent, with interest in participating in research, good communication skills, and ability to work in a multinational team
