Purpose of the position:
Provides Financial Management Support to ADP through implementing financial controls (internal and WV Partnership), keeping financial recordings, processing disbursements , tracking the accounting transactions, reconciling accounts, preparing financial reports and safeguarding assets.

Major Responsibilities:
1. Verify and validate the authenticity, source accuracy, completeness of raw accounting data submitted for payment and compliance with WVL Policies.
2. Process all payments within the internal control system and conform to approved budget.
3. Review all purchase requisitions for cost centres as per approved budgets.
4. Process voucher interface, cash books, cheque disbursement and receipt for cash.
5. Management and reviewing of all petty cash disbursements, local EERs and ensuring that staff account on time.
6. Preparation of Program\ADP financial report monthly\quarterly for WV Partnership and specific donor’s reports and submitting along with variance explanations.
7. Update all advances and clear timely ,prepare aging analysis of the same on monthly basis and report long outstanding to ADP Manager & Program Support Finance Officerong with variance explanations.
8. Regular analysis of project expenditures and budget, presenting to the ADP Management for variance explanations.
9. Analysis of monthly payroll, allocation of the payroll charge based on LDR and the budget, and initiating necessary correcting and adjusting entry and making the necessary reconciliations between ADP and National Office.
10. Discuss with implementing officers cash flow based on monthly activities and submit monthly funding request & forecast.
11. Maintain proper documentation, filling, referencing and review employee expenses reports and journalizing expenditures.
12. Be a member of the ADP procurement committee and reviewing all procurement documents.
13. Ensure the implementation of audit recommendation and strengthen the internal control to minimize the financial risk.
14. Update Fixed Asset register regularly, transfer and disposal of the assets are handled as per WV policy, ensure that all Fixed Assets are incorporated in the annual insurance Survey.
15. Claim VAT on monthly basis and prepare detailed reports showing the status of the VAT reimbursement.
16. Incorporate off book financial activities such as IGAs income and funding status on monthly FFR.

Qualifications: Education/Knowledge/Technical Skills and Experience
The following may be acquired through a combination of formal or self-education, prior experience or on-the-job training:
  • Minimum Qualification required:
Requires a university degree or equivalent in accounting and experience in accounting, preferably within World Vision. Education/experience must include complex bank reconciliations, journal writing, general ledger, financial statements, and government tax reports. Knowledge of accounting theory and financial analysis required. Must have at least 3 years Experience in financial reporting preferable in World Vision. Requires good computer skills and knowledge of accounting systems such as Sun Systems. Requires good communication (speaking and writing) skills in English.
Working Environment / Conditions:
  • Work environment: Office-based with travel to the field
  • Travel: 10% Domestic/international travel is required.
    On call 10%
