Role Summary/Purpose	GE Healthcare is expected to grow significantly over the next years in Africa, with a specific emphasis on our LCS & U/S operations. The Finance Manager will provide financial, controllership and compliance leadership and partner with the Modality General Manager and the rest of the leadership team to drive increased visibility into operating performance with the goal of driving revenue growth and increased profitability of the LCS & U/S Healthcare Business in Africa.
Essential Responsibilities	Partner with business leaders and staff to drive operating performance and act as the champion for strategic initiatives & prep of sales plan/monthly estimation of revenue to margin, proactively recognize standard revenue recognition practices, deal escalation, contribution margin walks. Drive country/region reviews, planning sessions & forecasts to include 3 years estimate (Growth Playbook), as well as one year estimates (BPR budgets and Operating Plan) and monthly Ops review estimates. Drive profitable growth by providing detailed analysis on performance and reporting key metrics whilst advising the leadership team on risks & opportunities as well as recommending actions Set clear roles & responsibilities, identify & action development needs to ensure superior business support Work with Controllership & Operational teams to adopt Healthcare SOP’s & streamline Accounting & Controllership practices. Close aged Schedule II’s, ensure timely completion of GBS account reconciliations and maintain limited/zero late entries. Drive the bi-annual pre-close as well as the quarterly rev rec radar reviews with the FC. Lead & develop the weekly & monthly operating finance mechanism at region/country level on orders, sales, CM, cash, P&L reviews with product & finance leaders. Support internal (including CAS, Internal Audit & compliance teams) & external financial audits impacting the LCS & U/S sphere and ensure all legal, tax , and GAAP requirements are met. Ensure effective closure of Discussion-logs and all open items. Seek external audit & legal counsel opinion on complex matters relating to Africa. Actively lead cross-functional projects focused on improving rigor in key Finance processes, reducing costs & improving profitability, including IPP, public procurement contracting, Cash / BDR, SSP and other projects Ensure Integrity is upheld throughout all processes, policies and practices, by ensuring appropriate communication, training and prioritization of related activities. Gradate BA/BSc or MBA in finance with 5-10 years of progressive accounting & finance experience including developing forecasts & operating plans and leading business / finance reviews Qualified Accountant (ACCA/CIMA/CPA/CFA) & demonstrated experience and understanding of Accounting Principles and Controllership Strong analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational performance drivers, generate alternatives and drive positive change
