NATIONAL SKILLS DEVELOPMENT COORDINATOR
TABLE MOUNTAIN NATIONAL PARK – BSP TOKAI OFFICE, CAPE TOWN
Salary scale: D1 Paterson: R31 724.25 per month Total Cost to Company and depending on experience
The above position is a fixed-term contract terminating 31 March 2018, renewable on mutual agreement and further funding
Key performance areas:
• Draw up Social Development strategic plans and policy documents to guide BSP within the relevant governing frameworks of both the Funding Agencies and SANParks
• Compile Training Centre Business Plans and develop Training Matrices
• Ensure sound financial management according to funder requirements
• Identify, implement and report on social research opportunities and feasibility studies
• Manage relationships with internal and external stakeholders for mutual benefit
• Guide the planning process of all training and social interventions within the BSP unit
• Oversee the implementation of a skills audit within BSP
• Ensure and monitor compliance with Health & Safety requirements associated with social development and Training Centre management
• Ensure the monitoring of Social and Training interventions according to BSP standards
• Manage implementation and administration of policies and budget according to operational plans and relevant legislation
• Implement effective human resources management.
Minimum requirements:
• Bachelor’s degree or relevant tertiary qualification in Education or Training or Social, supported by 5 years’ operational experience in planning and implementation of EPWP projects
• Knowledge of the Public Finance Management Act (PFMA)
• 5 years’ experience in training management
• 5 years’ experience in financial management
• 2 years’ experience in skills development implementation
• 2 years’ experience in human resources management
• Computer literacy with a working knowledge of Microsoft packages
• Good written and verbal communication, negotiation, project management, conflict resolution and community liaison skills
• Willingness to work long and irregular hours and to travel
• Sound organisational, administrative and negotiation skills
• Valid driver’s licence.
