Cost & Compliance Clerk

The role

Support the Regional Operations Performance Manager in coordinating activities relating to the processing and control of operation costs and compliance.

Key performance areas

Safety and Environment

• Ensure that Sandvik Policies and Procedures are adhered to, and provide proactive and visible safety leadership in all daily activities.
• Participation in safety improvement activities.
• Setting highest standards of personal safety.
• Report all accidents, incidents, and injuries immediately and complete all relevant documentation.

Reporting & Compliance

• Facilitate the processing of operational costs incurred by Distribution Services – Africa and intercompany.
• Facilitate the completion of internal and external compliance audits
• Develop and maintain tools that enable control of the operational costs and risks throughout the month to avoid month end surprises.
• Ad-hoc analysis as required.

Your profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or equivalent qualification
• Tertiary diploma or actively progressing towards one in Supply Chain Management, Financial Management or a related field essential or more than 10 years' experience in a similar role.
• Minimum 2 years of administration experience in a supply chain or finance environment.
• Proficient in Microsoft office, advanced experience with Excel essential.
• Exposure/experience in coordinating process and financial transactions and back office activities essential.
• Prior exposure to Aurora, DI and QlikView advantageous.
• Exposure to (Sandvik) EHS management systems advantageous
• Valid Driver’s License
• May be required to travel locally when necessary
