The National University of Lesotho is looking for highly qualified and energetic CANDIDATES to fill the following posts.
1. Post No.1972: Lecturer/ Senior Lecturer in the Department of Business
Administration – (Re-Advertisement)
Candidates for Senior Lecturer position must have at least six (6) years teaching experience at the university level, and the proven record of research and refereed publications in marketing and or management and already be in this position at the equivalent institution of higher learning at the time of application.
Applicants must hold a minimum of a Masters Degree in marketing or MBA with concentration in marketing. A PhD qualification in marketing (or related fields) and/or teaching experience at tertiary level and/or commercial experience will be preferred.
Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.

2. Post No. 3427: Library Access Assistant in Client Access & Extension Services Division of the Library
At least 1 year working experience in a library environment;
Working at the circulation desk, charging and discharging print and non-print materials using an automated system;
Answering user inquiries regarding availability of specific items and their status, as well as status of specific collection materials following established guidelines;
Answering routine inquiries and referring users/clients in need of professional assistance to librarians;
Maintaining the reserved collection materials;
Shelving, shelf-reading, retrieving and shifting library materials;
Assisting in the preparation and implementation of library orientation;
Assisting in general library duties as required;
Diploma in Library and Information Studies Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.

3. Post No. 3433: Library Access Assistant

4. Post No. 3360: Librarian/Documentalist
A minimum of three years’ experience in an academic library;
Competencies in ICT practices, application and tools in libraries;
Familiarity with ITS and/or Innovative Interfaces (INNOPAC) software package is the requirement;
Experience in online and offline subject searches;
Knowledge and contextual understanding of cataloguing (abstracting and indexing services);
Competencies in integrated document management;
Knowledge of LIS performance Management
MA in Library and Information Studies (LIS);

5. Post No. 3331: Assistant Archivist
A minimum of three years’ experience working in an archival institution or a Library.
Understanding of ICT practices, application and tools in archives and libraries.
Experience in management of archival materials.
Experience in online and offline subject searches.
Knowledge and contextual understanding of cataloguing (abstracting and indexing services).
BA in Archives and Records Management or BA in Library and Information
Studies.
On 2 year contract

6. Post No. 1691: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in the Department of Historical Studies
Be at an advanced stage of their doctoral studies, in, at least, one of: (i) History, (ii) Environmental History, and (iii) Heritage & Cultural Studies; or
Have a good MA in, at least, one of: (i) History, (ii) Environmental History, and (iii) Heritage & Cultural Studies;
Be able to teach courses in, at least, two (2) of these Majors.
Be willing to accept reasonable teaching and supervision assignments and responsibilities in the other majors; and
Evidence of scholarly potential, by way of published/conference/seminar papers in History, Environmental History or
Heritage & Cultural Studies, is a requirement.
Must have a PhD Permanent and
Pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.

7. Post No. 1640: Lecturer in English Language & Linguistics/ Applied Linguistics/ Communication
Should have a minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in Higher Education.
Evidence of relevant publications will be an added advantage.
The successful applicant will be required to play an active role in building the Department, developing new areas of activity when required, and contributing to the Department, Faculty and University-wide activities.
Must have a minimum of a Master’s Degree in English Language & Linguistics/Applied Linguistics/Communication Sciences specialising in any of the following: Sociolinguistics, Translation, Interpreting, English for
Academic Purposes, English for Specific Purposes, Editing & Publishing and Communication Sciences.
