VACANCIES
The Mines and Minerals Act 2005 provides for the establishment of the Mining
Board as per Section 12. The functions of the Board as stated on Section 17 are
as follows:
1. To perform the functions conferred or imposed upon it by the Mines and
Minerals Act;
2. To advise the Minister with respect to the exercise of his power under the
Act;
3. To make annual report to the Minister; and
4. To investigate, negotiate or consult in all mineral right concessions.
Applications are therefore invited from suitably qualified Basotho Nationals to
serve in three different vacancies in the fields reflected hereunder tenable in
the Mining Board for a duration of three (3) years. The applicant should have
proven professional experience and educational background in:
1. Finance and Accounting;
2. Environment Field;
3. Mining Engineering and/or Geology.
Applicants must in possession of the following requirements:
- Minimum of ten years of proven professional experience in the above
specified field
- Relevant academic qualifications, at least University Degree; and
- Professional certifications and prove of professional membership.
Applications should be submitted along with the certified copies of the above
specified requirements accompanied by CV and two reference letters.
