A Global Account Manager - Randgold Strategic Account (Southern Africa)
The role:
The Global Account Manager ( GAM) will be responsible for developing business opportunities and building strong relationships with the Strategic Global Customer Account.
Key responsibilities include building long - term profitable relationships, expanding business opportunities, setting business targets, optimising Sandvik's offerings and adding value to the customer.
The ideal candidate should therefore have a detailed and profound understanding of Strategic Account Management (strategic goals, business targets and operational needs and to enable the best long-term mutual value).
The role will also focus on helping the Strategic Global Customer to exceed their targets, to ensure that the customer utilize the entire Sandvik's offering and to increase Sandvik's Share of customer spend.
Key Responsibilities Include:
  • To develop business opportunities and building relationship to optimise overall profitability of the Global Account
  • To assess the account's total potential with Sandvik Mining products, services and systems offerings and to develop future market potential
  • To perform opportunity analysis by operations/projects on share of wallet.
  • To liaise directly with the local account's senior & middle management as the key point of contact and understand their needs and requirements. To have responsibility of relationship management with the account.
  • To understand the customer's business processes and value chain.
  • To develop , implement and coordinate the Global Account Business Plan to secure and deliver profitable and sustained business results+ business growth + improved business relationships and strategic collaboration to mutual benefit to RandGold and Sandvik alike.
  • Drive customer satisfaction
  • To act as coordinator between Global and Local Account teams to optimise service, delivery and value-add
  • Responsible for budgeting and consolidated financial performance of the Global Account
  • Coordinate, implement and aderadhere to all relevant EHS policies and practices
Your profile:
You have extensive Key Strategic Account Management experience, with specific focus on business development and growth, building sustainable strategic relationships, maximising revenue and profitability, strong business acumen and understanding of key financial drivers (i.e nett working capital, EBIT, portfolio growth, etc).
You are able to work effectively in teams, have a strong service orientation, understand the importance of delivering excellence and have a deep technical knowledge in Mining, Sandvik products and offerings.

Minimum Requirements:
A formal tertiary qualification in Engineering or Mining, with 3-4 years Key Account and Project management experience. This must include exposure to Crushing and Screening environments & products.
