(Paterson Grade C5)
Remuneration package: R446 706 per annum (plus housing and medical allowance)

Minimum requirements:
• LLB/equivalent legal qualification OR Bachelor’s degree in Public Health OR National Diploma in Policing OR National Diploma in Investigation/Forensic Auditing
• 3 years’ working experience as an Investigator/Inspector/Compliance Officer, OR in a legal environment (excluding articles).
Competency requirements:
• Sound knowledge of relevant or applicable legislation (eg National Health Act 2003; Health Professions Act, HPCSA, 1974 etc)
• Knowledge of courtroom procedures
• Good communication skills
• Investigation skills
• Ability to work under pressure and independently
• Report-writing skills
• Financial management skills
• Time management skills
• Knowledge of computer packages (MS Office).
Principal accountabilities and key performance areas:
• Investigate the allegation of non-compliance with the Act, the regulations and rules
• Conduct inspections of premises/to ensure compliance
• Compile inspection/investigation reports
• Assist the professional boards with the inspections on clinical and professional compliance matters
• Ensure compliance with penalties imposed by the Professional Conduct Committee
• Collect outstanding fines
• Attend to criminal matters in respect of unregistered persons
• Generate monthly and quarterly reports on inspections/investigation conducted
• Liaise with financial department of HPCSA to ensure that practitioners repay their fines
• Perform other duties as may be required by the Senior Manager: Inspectorate Office.
