Qualifications: Bachelors Degree in Multimedia/Website Development or related field
Experience: At least three (3) years relevant experience
Remuneration: Negotiable
Brief Description
A web designer creates the look, layout and features of a website. Understands both graphic design and computer programming languages. Must help with maintenance and additions to the website. Develop, manage and keep the site up-to-date.
Web Designer Key Responsibilities
• Design and develop webpage layout
• Update website on a regular basis
• Editing for video and audio and upload on website
• Develop multimedia programming and technology features
• Fundamentals of design imaging
• Animation
• To maintain and improve usability and accessibility of online content through clear and effective communication.
• Assess and evaluate technical and functional design requirements.
Experience
Writing web pages in a combination of codes. Knowledge of the following design, scripting and programming tools isessential:
• Dreamweaver and Photoshop
• Flash
• Javascript
• CSS, HTML, XHTML and XML
• Java
• Active Server Pages (ASP)
• PHP (Hypertext Preprocessor)
• Thorough knowledge of frameworks – Joomla and WordPress
