Senior Project Manager

The role

To execute and manage successfully nominated specific projects according to project objectives and Sandvik Mining Systems Project management Directives.

Key Performance Areas

Plan, organize, monitor, execute and control of Customer Projects to achieve project delivery on time, cost and within the specified scope and quality:

• Create, develop and execute the Project Management Plan according to Project Charter.
• Allocate and secure resources for the project in close cooperation with the line organization.
• Ensure efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources.
• Execute projects according to Sandvik Mining Systems PM Directives, Tools & Methodologies
• Lead, manage and motivate the project team.
• Manage dependencies, risks and opportunities.
• Follow-up and report on project status (cost, cash-flow, claims/variations, time/progress, quality etc.).
• Communicate effectively with project team and stakeholders.
• Manage changes to the project scope imposed by e.g. customer or steering group decisions.
• Mentor and coach project team members and other Project Managers
• Negotiate with and manage subcontractors
• Contribute to further development of PM Directives, Tools & Methodologies
• Manage cross function, cross MO or cross PA projects
• Benchmark with external companies
• Hand-over projects deliverables to receiving organization(s)
• Review Controls and results of other Project Managers.

Your profile

• Degree in Engineering
• PMP Certifcation
• Minimum of 8 years project management experience, specifically on Mining Bulk Materials Handling.
• Must have worked with cross cultural workgroups for more than two years
