Lecturer in Microbiology Wanted at National University of Lesotho

The National University of Lesotho invites applications from suitably qualified candidates for the following post:

FACULTY OF SCIENCE & TECHNOLOGY:
Post No. 2115: Lecturer/Senior Lecturer in Microbiology in the Department of Biology

Minimum Qualifications and Requirements:

We are seeking an energetic and innovative scientist with a minimum qualification of a Masters Degree in Microbiology. A higher qualification with specialization in Molecular Biology will be an added advantage. In addition the incumbent must have sufficient research experience and capacity to initiate projects and activities relevant to the wider field of Microbiological and Molecular Biology.

Duties:

Teach Microbiology and Biotechnology Courses at both undergraduate and post-graduate levels

Supervise students’ research projects

Initiate post-graduate programmes

Secure external funding for research in Microbiology and Biotechnology

Perform any other duties, including administrative, as may be required by the Department

Remuneration:

The University offers salaries and other benefits commensurate with qualifications and experience.

Employment type:

Permanent and pensionable/gratuitable for Locals and Contract for Non – Locals.
