ANTI-MONEY LAUNDERING CONTROL OFFICER WANTED AT LESOTHO POST BANK


PURPOSE OFTHEJOB
To manage Anti Money Laundering (AML) compliance risk through money laundering control and combating
of the financing of terrorism (CFT) and related activities.

KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
• Ensures continuous development and refinement of necessary policies, processes, practices, procedure and plans, and that training takes place within the Bank in consultation with relevant stakeholders.
• Represent the Bank when dealing with appropriate local authorities in relation to suspected Money Laundering (ML) and Financing of Terrorism (FT) and its reporting.
• Ensures the recording, investigation and escalation of report on suspected ML and FT activities to the appropriate local authorities.
■ Communicate with the respective business units of the Bank to assist management in discharging its day- to-day responsibilities relating to AML and CFT, including compliance with the Bank’s policies, processes and procedures.
– Formulate management reports on AML and CFT activities within the Bank and escalate reports to the executive management of the Bank and other appropriate stake holders.
• Ensures monitoring systems and controls are introduced to comply with AML and CFT legislation, agreed standards and policies within the bank.
• Act as central point for receipts of reports on suspected ML and FT activities from various sources within the Bank.
• Assist in the development of AML/CFT and Sanctions training material. Conduct and /or facilitate internal AML/CFT and Sanctions training.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE
’• LLB or any other related field
• Diploma in Compliance Management, Certificate in Anti-Money Laundering Control and/or Certified Association Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) will be an added advantage.
• One (1) year Banking experience and two (2) years experience in Legal, AML, CFT and Sanctions Compliance, Risk Management.

SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE
• Presentation and facilitation skills, Communication skills (verbal & written), Regulatory requirements and Legislation knowledge, Banking Knowledge, AML/CFT and Sanctions Policies and Procedure, Micro-soft Applications, Compliance Management, Business Acumen
