Applications are invited form suitably qualified Lesotho citizens to fill the vacancy of Mechanical Engineer at Storm Mountain Diamonds – Kao Mine, situated in the rural areas of Botha-Bothe in Lesotho.
Qualifications and Minimum Job requirements:
Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent
Electrical knowledge in mining and process plant environment
Computer literacy (Microsoft office packages
Good communication skills in English Language
Suitable candidates must have the following work experience:
Hands on experience with Mechanical best practices in a mine and processing plant environment.
Working in a mine / heavy industrial process plant environment
The successful candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to:
Maintaining a safe working environment for all employees
Performing medium to high level mechanical fault finding.
Performing root cause analysis on breakdowns and substandard performance.
Ensuring that rectification takes place in the least possible time with no further damage to equipment.
Carrying out regular inspections to assess the effectiveness of maintenance and to detect problem areas timeously.
Optimising resource utilisation and efficiency.
Liaising with other departments to ensure optimum use of resources throughout the site.
Monitoring the budget
Striving for continuous improvement in the direction and practice of maintenance principles
