Purpose:
UNICEF, the world’s leading organization working for the rights of children, seeks a consultant to provide graphic design, branding, video editing and ongoing user interface support for UNICEF’s intranet, and conceptualize/develop infographics for the Knowledge Sharing Section, liaising with other sections/division to support Organizational initiatives and priorities. The consultant will help oversee the Intranet’s transition to the Sharepoint platform.

Minimum requirements and competencies:
• Expert knowledge in graphic design and graphic design software, including but not limited to: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, After effect, Final Cut Pro, Flash, Flex Builder, and the rest of the Adobe Creative Suite.
• Advanced knowledge in concept and creation of specific graphic design assets, including infographics/factographs (for print and digital), data visualization, animation, and interactive presentations.
• Knowledge of web development, including but not limited to: Mobile Design, Wiki Design, User Interface design and testing, Information Architecture, and Dreamweaver is a plus.
• Knowledge of programming languages is a plus, including: HTML, HTML5 and main frameworks (bootstrap, boiler plate), CSS (1 to 3), Javascript
• Knowledge of Sharepoint a must.
• Strong comprehension of work, standards and practices of UN and other International Government/Humanitarian Organizations.
• Ability to create lightweight web designs is a plus.
• Provides advice on the best use of technologies with regard to design and interactive usability is a plus.
• Self-motivated and results oriented.
• Proven ability to deliver under tight deadlines.
• Possesses strong organizational and detail-oriented skills.
• International professional experience is an asset.
• Understanding of UNICEF‘s work is a plus.
• Brings evidence of success in preparing successful branding products and marketing materials.
• High command of English. Other official UN languages such as Spanish and French are a plus.
