Role overview
Volunteering as the Public Health Specialist for Lesotho Red Cross Society, you'll organize and conduct training to communities and stakeholders on issues on HIV and Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH). You'll work with local clinics, girls clubs and schools to support and strengthen referral linkages to SRH services. You'll support the timely collection, storage and utilization of HIV and SRH data for effective decision making by the local partner. You'll be the focal expert person to assist the implementation of the on-going SRH and HIV program at the partner and community level |
Skills, qualifications and experience required
You have a minimum of a first degree in Public Health and have specialist training on Sexual Reproductive Health (SRH). You have a minimum of 5 years knowledge and work experience on SRH, Prevention of Mother-To-Child Transmission (PMTCT), HIV&AIDS and Sexually Transmitted Infections (STIs) in rural community settings. You have proven experience in training and mentoring others and experience developing tailored intervention strategies for rural communities. You have project management experience for donor funded projects targeting the marginalized poor. Previous experience working in Southern Africa would be a bonus. |
