INTERNAL AUDITOR – Information Technology
VACANCY
Lesotho Post Bank, a financial services provider of choice in Lesotho is looking for a highly competent Mosotho candidate to fill the vacant position of Internal Auditor - IT
REPORTING LINE:
Internal Auditor – IT reports to Head of Internal Auditor.
KEY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Prepare planning activities for IT audits, ad hoc projects, as assigned.
• Develop audit objectives for the conduct of IT audits.
• Prepare / review audit programs necessary to fulfill the audit objectives.
• Assist with Department’s risk assessment and audit plan development process.
• Conduct and lead all aspects of the end-to-end IT audit process to include engagement planning, coordination, scope determination, risk and control identification, design of audit program procedures, testing, and evaluation and analysis of results.
• Prepare adequate documentation (workpapers) supporting all audit work performed to support the preparation of a written report to Management.
• Prepare comprehensive, well-written Internal Audit Reports summarizing the review results. Conducts closing meetings and presentation of IT audit results.
• Follows-up on status of prior IT audit recommendations to ensure that report recommendations are implemented on a timely basis.
• Provide support to the Head of Internal Audit, as well as the Internal Audit Staff, External Auditors, and to
Management with respect to information technology and its application to Lesotho Postbank’s business.
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE
• Four-year college degree, preferably with a major in Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or related field.
• Certified Information Systems Auditor (CISA), and/or Certified Information Security Manager (CISM) certifications will be an added advantage.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in Information Systems auditing or risk field.
• Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Familiarity with the following systems and technological environments and software tools:
o MS Office
o Oracle Financial Systems (OFS)
o Database platforms (Oracle, SQL)
o Software programming and development
o Internet technology
o Network routing and switching.
o Electronic Data Interchange (EDI)
o Microsoft Enterprise environments and software applications.
COMPETENCIES AND SKILLS
• Strong numerical, analytical, communication, negotiation and leadership skills.
• Computer literacy is a prerequisite.
• Knowledge of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques is an added advantage.
