The Clinton Health Access Initiative (CHAI – formerly
the Clinton HIV/AIDS Initiative) has been working in

I. Associate, Health Financing
The Health Financing Associate will play an
important role in CHAI Lesotho’s expanding work
in Health Financing, working primarily to support
the operationalization of Lesotho’s Health System
Strategic Plan. The Associate will report to the
Health Financing Program Manager and under
minimal supervision, will provide critical strategic
and analytical support to the government and key
development partners.
Qualifications:
• Master’s degree in an area related to finance and
economics, health economics or related degree
in public health with 2 years relevant professional
experience in a demanding and results-oriented
environment; or Bachelor’s degree with 3-5 years
of relevant work experience.
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills,
including significant experience working with
MS Excel software;
• Strong written, visual and oral communication
skills, including ability to communicate
effectively while addressing a broad range of
audiences;
• Strong interpersonal skills, including ability to
build professional relationships and manage
partnerships within a multi-stakeholder
environment.
II. Health Financing Volunteer
CHAI currently seeks a 6-month Volunteer to
support our expanding work in health financing
within Lesotho. The volunteer will assist to provide
critical support to the government. S/he will be a
part of a team that works in close partnership with
the Ministry of Health, cooperating on a regular
basis with donors, partner organizations and NGOs.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any area related to finance
and economics, public health or related degree
in social sciences; plus 1-2 years of relevant
professional experience in a demanding, results-oriented
environment;
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills,
including signifi cant experience working with
MS Excel;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
III. Volunteer, Pediatric HIV Access
The Volunteer, Pediatric HIV Access will provide
targeted support to the Ministry of Health of
Lesotho to improve access to essential commodities
for pediatric HIV prevention and care.
Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s degree in any quantitative field; plus
1-2 years of relevant professional experience;
• Excellent analytical and quantitative skills,
including significant experience working with
MS Excel;
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
