Basotho candidates for the following position
Department: Investment Promotion
Job Title: Manager Investment Promotion
Reports to: Head Investment Promotion
Purpose of the Job
The Manager Investment Promotion will be responsible for implementing, monitoring and evaluating the investment promotion functions of LTDC.
Key Tasks and Responsibilities
• Supports the Head Investment Promotion in the management of the investment promotion function of
LTDC;
• Submits recommendations aimed at enhancing the competitiveness of Lesotho as a profitable location for investment in tourism related projects;
• Compiles and provides requisite information on investment opportunities and incentives available for tourism development in Lesotho.
• Develops packages and promotes tourism projects to local and international investors;
• Assists in mobilization of investment resources to support private sector for participation in tourism development in Lesotho. ;
• Conducts effective awareness campaigns among Basotho on market and economic trends likely to affect
Tourism development for Lesotho;
• Ensures the development of suitable product development promotional materials and their periodic reviews;
• Periodically reviews and makes suitable recommendations to management on Lesotho’s competitiveness with regard to tourism product development.
• Liaises with relevant stakeholders to uphold a conducive investor pre and aftercare business climate.
Educational Qualifications
Economics or a Commercial degree.
Relevant Skills
• Well-developed project appraisal skills are an absolute essential;
• Computer literacy.
Professional Experience
A minimum of five (5) years in investment promotion environment. Familiarity with a marketing environment would be an added advantage.
Personal Attributes
• Good interpersonal skills;
• Good oral and written communication skills;
• Must be a person of very sound integrity;
• An analytical mind with attention to detail is an absolute must;
