Main Purpose of the Job:
This position will focus primarily on all maintenance and repair
of refrigeration and temperature calibration of refrigeration
equipment units. To provide skilled work in the installation,
repair, operation, and maintenance of Refrigeration & Air
Conditioning (AC) equipment and systems at various sites of
the hotel.
Education, experience and expected output:
• Diploma in Refrigeration and Air-conditioning with 5 years’
experience in Heavy Central Air Conditioning Plant or
Diploma in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
• Cost effective and efficient maintenance procedures;
• E efficient and effective Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
system;
• Properly installed Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
equipment;
• Well-functioning Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
equipment;
• Timely repairs of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning
equipment;
• Submission of Refrigeration & Air Conditioning monthly
reports;
• Well maintained safety standards in Refrigeration and Air
Conditioning
Duties and responsibilities:
• Repair and perform predictive and preventative
maintenance procedures on refrigeration systems
including, but not limited to: compressors, pumps, fans,
heat exchangers, glycol systems, various hotel utility
systems and power distribution systems.
• Read complex schematics associated with the refrigeration
and air conditioning equipment.
• Conducting daily rounds to observe and record
temperatures and humidity levels, and making minor
adjustments.
• Participating in improvement activities that include
improving the process, improving the work, and making
recommendations for enhancing the systems by prioritizing
work and minimizing down time to production and
refrigeration systems.
• Perform all levels of maintenance and repair services on
various brands of refrigeration units.
• Be able to test lines, components, and connections using
electrical, mechanical, and pneumatic test equipment.
• Work safely following Safety Policies and maintain a clean
and safe working environment
• Schedule and perform preventive maintenance on
assigned equipment.
• Complete and maintain records for preventive
maintenance program checklists.
• Communicate problems and concerns to Maintenance
Supervisor.
• Perform general maintenance duties that include
refrigeration system, air conditioning, electrical, and general
carpentry repairs.
• Repair refrigerant leaks, repair evaporators, coolers &
freezers, heating and air conditioning repair.
• Respond to calls both during working hours and after
working hours
• Be able to tests lines, components and connections using
electrical, mechanical and Pneumatic test equipment.
• Repairs faulty Refrigeration and Air Conditioning
equipment and Plant.
• Carries out routine checks and logs of the status of
Refrigeration and Air Conditioning equipment.
• Ensure that the Air Conditioning system is ON at the right
time.
• Trouble-shoot Air Conditioning equipment malfunctions,
diagnose problems and perform maintenance on
Refrigeration & Air Conditioning equipment.
• Manage the safety of the Air Conditioning Plant rooms and
workshops
• Collect data and produce implementation reports thereof.
