POSITION: Health And Safety Coordinator (Paterson Band CU)
PURPOSE: To assist Management in the development, implementation and maintenance of the health and safety (H&S) management systems, policies, procedures and standards of Letšeng Diamonds.
QUALIFICATIONS: Degree or diploma in health & safety OR Degree in natural sciences with relevant health and safety training, Registered with Ministry of Labour and Employment as a Safety and Health Practitioner, At least 4 years of relevant experience in Safety and Health in a medium to large enterprise (Implementation of a Safety, Health and Environment system), Driver’s Licence.
ATTRIBUTES: Thorough knowledge of the H&S Management System, Good understanding of H&S legislation and international standards, Competence in risk assessments and auditing, Good communicator and team player.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS: Candidates will be required to undergo a Medical Examination of fitness as per requirements. This is a permanent and pensionable position based at the mine.
